This post is dedicated to the genius of the following people who brought out the very best in themselves and, amazingly enough, most of the time, during the most difficult of circumstances.
Stephen King – author who writes for pop culture while helping to create it. He claims his success as a writer is that he always writes for an audience of one.
Frank Sinatra – “I’ve been wacked around before and came through pretty good”
Barbara Streisand – “I’m not temperamental. It depends on what you call “difficult.” If that means striving for excellence, if that means doing it till its right, then you can call me difficult”.
Margret Thatcher – The only woman ever to be the prime minister of Great Britain. She was both admired and hated. Prime Minister Thatcher was referred to as boring, radical and conservative. Even though, she was brought down by a rebellion in her own party, she still considered her years of public service, the most fascinating time of her entire life.
Mikhail Gorbachev – a Soviet leader credited with helping to end the Cold War.
Marlon Brando – “The most important question to ask yourself is, do you really know what you know?”
John A. Sarrett – Author of Extraordinary Comebacks 200 Examples of life turnarounds – an amazing compilation of inspiring (easy read) short stories.
Jack London – famous author of many books that focused on the rights of workers. He is best remembered for “White Fang” and “Call of the Wild.”
Isadora Duncan – the mother of modern dance who encouraged others to not just dance freely but to… “Listen to music with your soul”
Eva Evita Peron – wife of president of Argentina who dedicated her life to making her country a better place for the underprivileged.
Walt Disney – entrepreneur, entertainer, philanthropist and developer of the most famous theme parks “Magic Kingdom” and Epcot Center in the world.
Steve Wynn – the man who legitimized the gaming industry and revolutionized Las Vegas. He was able to get gaming properties on the New York stock exchange.
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart – famous composer who started playing keyboard at the age of three and by the time he was five years old was writing minuets. At the time of his death he composed over 600 works.
Steven Spielberg – film maker addressing such issues as the holocaust slavery, war and terrorism. Often accused of being showy, melodramatic and sentimental .
