Some people call it taking a breather, others refer to it as meditation, but whatever we choose to call it, when we pause we are temporally suspending action. We give ourselves permission to be both serene and divinely content in the moment.
No matter, how chaotic our situation, pausing allows us to relax for a brief time so we can recuperate. Whether it is a minute of silence or twenty minutes in a trance, pausing is a powerful restorative force that is always available to us anytime and anywhere.
Regardless of the pressure we find ourselves under, pausing is a reflective place that we can always go to where we can find value until we can compose ourselves once again.
In a crisis pausing permits us to take a break, and several deep breaths later, we can regain a rational perspective over our circumstances.
When conversing, pausing gives us an opportunity to catch up with our thoughts. It gives us a few seconds to weigh or words and prevents us from saying things that we may eventually come to regret.
Now and then it’s good to pause in our pursuit of happiness and just be happy.
