Our spiritual dialect shapes our daily experience of God, and helps us to express it to others. What we commonly speak we begin to believe and to live. Our spiritual language is the platform from which we launch all of our God-like intentions. Our divinely centered words if routinely spoken either to ourselves or to others reinforces our spiritual resolve.
The heavenly language of God is uttered in quiet prayer. This one-on-one divine communication is reverently and timidly whispered for one of three reasons: in inspiration, out of desperation or out of a profound gratitude for requests received.
The words of the Bible educate and inform us. The conclusions we reach are a result of our religious conditioning, our dedication to reading the holy word, and the interpretations we gleam from our place of worship. What we say is only a fragment of what we really know. Although, we allow the spiritually-based views of others to influence us; it is our own repetitive conversations about the Lord, which give those around us an accurate depiction of our true spiritual natures.
Sometimes the language of God attracts negative attention when we would rather it not. When faced with defending our convictions among disbelievers, we use God’s words to disarm and debate our unholy adversaries. We concentrate on getting our point across, selecting phrases from the Bible we have memorized to better persuade. Our objective is to challenge others to rise up and permit themselves to become as enlightened by the “Word” as we continually try to be.
Spiritual thoughts are always present in those of us who believe. They are poised and ready to be transformed into words that can be put out into the world. The language of God when zealously verbalized paints vibrant pictures of the promises he has made. When we stop, and have a word with God, we find ourselves transported to another place where we are instantly in his presence. This is a place, a spiritually harmonious environment, which reassures us of God’s devotion and love for us and all others with whom we share our lives.
