It takes a certain focus to participate in briefing, with working and all and, with keeping up with all the things in our lives that need our constant attention. Briefing is all about enjoying life in the present phase we are in. It involves more than just managing our day-to-day transactions. It is more about being aware of all the insights that our daily challenges bring to light. It is about filtering through our mind, what we truly want to go into our consciousness so we can maintain better emotional balance.
Briefing is a way in which we can pause and capture the moments that normally would slip by us. It is all about bridging the gap between what matters most in the now, and what we can later summon up from our sentimental recall and convert into what will later become our most cherished memories.
Briefing encourages us to look for opportunities to boost our enthusiasm about the act of living. It requires us to join in the game and to be a player, not just a spectator, to not only dream, but to live the dream. By briefing, we can do this, one moment at a time, in real time, in the now. Briefing is pausing – to reminds us of the importance of making ourselves happy, more today, than yesterday and twice as much as tomorrow. Briefing relates to giving ourselves permission to show up? If we are not where we want to be and fully engaged, we are coming up short.
There is nothing in life that demands we be a slave to our situation – except our own thinking. We all have options, but many of us have not yet, recognized what they are yet. Life is a gift – a precious present, isn’t it time for us to crack it open? If not now, when?
To estimate what we will have to work with that will bring us peace and contentment tomorrow is no more than mere speculation. We all know there are no guarantees in life. This is the reason why we should opt for a plan like briefing that will ensure that we will not fritter away any more of life’s moments. Life is filled with many dynamic possibilities, most of which we have only scaled the surface of. There are so many subjects out there, waiting to be explored. We betray ourselves and others in our lives when we put our immediate pleasures and recreational passions on hold, for whatever the reason. There is always an excuse if we choose to invent one.
Constant delight in life through the recognition of meaningful pauses is the lifeblood of excellent health. Briefing makes the art of nourishing our spirit easier by having us divide our time into bite-sized chunks. It allows for us to discover something currently pleasing about every aspect of the present, rather than just watching the passing of minutes that might otherwise, escape us. It is all about the instant experience and how we can be enriched by it, as opposed to trying to find satisfaction in some vague instance, yet to come.
